After School Care
Children need what we rarely give them in school - time for 'Messing About.' -John Holt

After-school care at Gibsons Farm. It's like Minecraft without the computer.
When school's out, kids don't want to be told what to do. So many young people just need space to follow their curiosity, build something cool, climb a tree or cuddle a chicken. Farm-based after school care is from 3-5:30pm daily. No screens, no curriculum, just freedom to be kids in an incredible outdoor environment under the guidance of our passionate farmers. Our Farmer Educators are extremely competent outdoor educators who are just as confident leading from behind. We believe kids are capable of so much more than our society gives them credit for. Risky play, building fires, milking goats, making pizza in a wood oven, and using knives and construction tools are activities we like to provide space for.
Parents, here's the nitty-gritty..

"Risky things" you should know your child might choose to do at the farm (definitely not an exhaustive list, but to give you an idea!)
